The Valedictory function was organized on 26th April 2025 after the technical session on 25th & 26th April 2025. The Resource Persons included Prof. C. S. Venkatesh, Professor of Practice, R.V. Institute of Management; Mr.Mallikarjun Sarvepalli, Practicing Head, Emerging Technologies – AI, AR/VR & Block Chain; Mr. Debarya Dutta, Founder & CEO, Upraised, a AI-driven SaaS Platform; Dr.Tapan Nayak, Director, ISBR College & Dr. C. Manohar, Chairman, ISTD, Bangalore Chapter.
The Valedictory function commenced with Qirath by Mr. Thouhid Pasha, BBA student. Dr. B. A. Anuradha, Principal, Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies in her introductory remarks said that AI is here to stay and irrespective of what the Buzz is we all need to coexist. She also stressed about adopting augmented learning to enhance engagement and comprehension by adapting to the learner's needs, context, and input, providing real-time support and feedback.
The Chief Guest for the valedictory, Mr. Kishore Jagirdar, President, Vision Karnataka Foundation, Chairman & MD, Infopace Management Pvt., Ltd. Brought out the difference between updating of the syllabus & curriculum over the years, which has been practically slower as against the updation of technical education which is updated almost once in every 72 hours. Data crunching is large & crucial, therefore its relevance is humongous and AI is a tool that enables us to use this process more efficiently. He said that AI is an enabler and provides value addition & an opportunity for effective teaching. He also said that Professors need to inculcate moral & cultural values to students.
The Guest of Honour, Prof. K N Godamani, Former Academic Council Member, BCU said that AI is more flexible & student centric especially with Gamification & Simulation having taken a toll and helping in solving real-problems. She said that Education is not learning of facts but the training of minds.
Mr. Umar Ismail Khan, Chairman, Al-Ameen Educational Society in his presidential address illustrated the example of an Indian having opened Medical Colleges in Kyrgyzstan & Kazakhstan with about ten thousand Indian students and at a much affordable cost than in India. These colleges have beautiful campuses and are approved by statutory medical councils of India & Britain. They have created prototypes from AI replacing the need to have cadavers for teaching anatomy and surgery; these prototypes are developed by Russians. He also spoke about the philanthropic mission of Al-Ameen, giving hope to deserving students to lead a good life, through education. This year Al-Ameen has distributed around 3 crores as scholarship, he said.
In his closing remarks, Dr. C. Manohar, Chairman, ISTD Bangalore Chapter advised the participants to continue to use AI in a constructive and positive way. Spoke about the relevance of augmented intelligence special since he believes that AI is in great demand since it is getting smarter & faster.
