Prior to the Inauguration of the workshop, the Hon.Secretary, Mr. Zubair Anwar held a condolence meeting with the students & staff of Al-Ameen; participants & guests to condemn the loss of innocent lives in the terror attack in Pahalgm, Kashmir on 22nd April 2025.
The Inauguration of the Two-day Workshop for Faculty on “Adoption of AI in Knowledge Creation and Delivery in Management Education” commenced with Qirath by Abdul Rahman Sarim, MBA student on 25th April 2025.
Dr. B. A. Anuradha, Principal welcomed the erudite guest and in her introductory address said that “AI is the new electricity” since its transforming, revolutionizing and reshaping every aspect of our world in profound ways, enhancing the capabilities & automating tasks, thus playing a duet with humans. While emphasizing on the importance of AI, she said that AI bots cannot replace a teacher; it can only enhance their role as educators. She opined that the Key to Success is a continuous learning & collaborating process.
Dr. C. Manohar, Chairman, ISTD, Bangalore Chapter spoke about the crucial aspects of AI tools which excels in speed, precision & data analysis and its competition with Human Intelligence. Navigating this intertwined landscape is the key to shaping our future, restructuring society in various aspects such as work, personal life and ethics. This will definitely create a new world, he said.
Mr. Zubair Anwar, Hon. Secretary, Al-Ameen Educational Society presided over the function. He spoke about Al-Ameen championing the cause of philanthropy for the past 59 years, under the able guidance & leadership of our visionary Founder, Late Dr. Mumtaz Ahmed Khan Saheb who worked relentlessly for the masses, until he left us in 2021. Now his son, Mr. Umar Ismail Khan has taken over the mantle as the Chairman of Al-Ameen Educational Society. Today Al-Ameen has grown tremendously; with 239 units pan India, ensuring that we work hand-to-mouth, since we don’t tax our students. He said that AI is about augmentation & tailoring learning experiences so as to work smarter & more efficiently. Teaching is a blessed profession, since teachers give back knowledge to the society. Our Indian tradition considers “Guru” as a reverential figure and is placed in our lives after our parents. He asked everyone to always remember that one’s attitude reflects upon everyone around you and we should ensure that perception towards society changes for the better. AI should be used for the development of mankind and this will definitely make it very rewarding.
The Chief Guest, Dr. Raj Mruthyunjayappa, Former Chairman, Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, Karnataka Board in his address said that the term AI was coined as early as 1956 but has become popular since the last few years. AI helps create a Hyper-personalized learning experience as the future of education. Tailored curriculum, adaptive techniques and delivery methods will ultimately maximizing engagement and learning outcomes changing pedagogy at a scale & speed which is unprecedented. Hyper-personalized learning leverages AI and data analytics to create unique, individualized learning experiences for each learner, going beyond traditional ways. Future AI is a mindset and refers to a proactive and strategic approach to integrating AI into all aspects of life; therefore it is imperative to embrace AI in education as the future of learning and collaboration.
The Guest of Honour, Dr. Rony George Kurien, Chairman, Association of Indian Management Schools, Karnataka & Kerala Chapters said that the workshop on “Adoption of AI” is a significant and forward thinking topic and this is definitely a proactive step taken by Al-Ameen for the future of education. He spoke about AI as articulated by John McCathy and said that AI is meticulously curated based on the learners skills, interests, goals, and behaviours. AI is definitely a transformative force and is revolutionizing knowledge to create new possibilities enhancing learning experience.
The Inauguration concluded with Vote of thanks by Dr. Abdul Rizwan Shariff, Vice Principal.
