Republic Day 2025

The Republic Day festivities commenced with the traditional flag hoisting, guard of honor by our NCC cadets and singing of national anthem.  Dr. Mohammed Salahuddin, Principal, Al-Ameen College of Pharmacy welcomed the gathering to the celebrations. The Chief Guest, Major General Noorullah Shah was accompanied by this wife Mrs.Shagufta Shah. In an inspiring speech, Major General Noorullah Shah highlighted the importance of inculcating values amongst the students & youth such as integrity, respect, inclusiveness, equality, diversity, secularism, patriotism, passion for community service, environmental conservation, promoting cultural heritage, law of the land & judiciary, to honour and have high esteem & regard for parents, to uphold the name of the alma mater and honor the legacy of our freedom fighters.

Al-Ameen celebrated India's 76th Republic Day with grandeur, featuring cultural performances and patriotic fervor.  On the occasion, Dr. Mangalamma H.S, of  Al-Ameen College of Education was honoured with “Pailwan Pinjar Ramjan Saab Award” for her contribution to Kannada Literature. The award was constituted in recognition of the contributions made by Pinjar Pailwan Ramzan Sab, a Karnataka unification fighter from Ballari who heroically fought and sacrificed his life & lit the first sparks for the Karnataka Unification Movement.

Further Dr. Shaista Yusuf & Dr. Zubeda were felicitated for their contribution to Urdu literature. Dr. Shaista Yusuf is an eminent Urdu poet and prose writer. She has contributed to many magazines in India and overseas and translated various articles and poems from different languages into Urdu. She was also honored with the “Karnataka Urdu Academy Award in 2010” for the book 'Gul-e-Khudro'. Her works include Sooni Parchayiyan, Yaad-e-Raftagan – Mehmood Ayaz, Saughat & Naya Adab Shumara 1; while Dr. (Prof.) Zubeda has made immensely contribution to Urdu literature through her teaching.

The event drew a large crowd of dignitaries including the Chairman, Hon.Secretary & Executive Council Members of the Al-Ameen Educational Society; Principals, staff and parents, all uniting to honor India's cultural heritage and democratic spirit. Mrs. Haritha R Kumar, Vice-Principal, Al-Ameen Institute of Information Sciences proposed the vote of thanks.
