A state level inter-collegiate debate completion – Speak for India, Karnataka Edition 2023-24 was organized by Times of India Group and Federal Bank at Al-Ameen Institute of Management Studies on 17th Feb 2024.
10 Students of 6th Semester BBA along with 50 participants from other colleges participated in Speak India Contest (Semi-Finals) at the New Seminar Hall, Al-Ameen Educational Campus, Bangalore. Various topics were given to the participants to speak extempore
Participants demonstrated an impressive command of rhetoric and a nuanced understanding of diverse topic from environmental sustainability to social justice. Each speech was a testament to the power of words to inspire, thought provoking, and catalyze action whether advocating for gender equality, or addressing the challenges of rapid urbanization. Speak for India debate exhibited a profound commitment to drive positive change in the Indian society.
Judges, comprised of esteemed scholars, activist and public figures faced the daunting task of evaluating the competitor’s performance based on criteria such as content, delivery and impact. Emphasis was placed not only on the clarity and coherence of arguments but also on the ability to connect with audience on an emotional level.
